Salvage

Our team of experienced individuals has been salvaging boats and wrecks in a variety of complicated situations. We have years of salvage experience from boats to docks on the Sunshine Coast and along the BC coast including Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland.

We don’t just do it to make a profit either, if there’s an old wreck that has started to leak oil into the marine environment call us, and with the help of strategic partnerships such as the “Georgia Straight Alliance”, we may be able to remove it on our own time, for the good of the environment and marine health.

Fabrication

We have a two acre lay down yard that features a 130-foot of water front for easy loading and unloading. A 12,000 square foot shop allows our team plenty of space to complete the fabrication needs of our clients. We manufacture all of our products in house so we can control cost and schedule. We are able to provide a wide range of ramps and floats with your choice of materials including aluminum, steel, wood or concrete. Our highly qualified team can also assist with custom fabrications, repairs and perform supply services for our customers as well as design, build and supply for 3rd parties.

Steps to Obtaining a Foreshore Permit for Private Mooring

At Green Wave Marine, we follow a protocol for obtaining permits so the process is smooth and efficient. Here are the steps to obtaining a foreshore permit for private mooring:

1. Determine your personal needs regarding ocean access.

2. Design and price a private moorage system that fits your personal needs and wants.

3. Survey the foreshore in front of your property with a marine construction contractor to determine the most appropriate location for moorage.

4. Submit a private moorage tenure application package to the Ministry of Forests, Land and Natural Resource Operations (FrontCounterBC). This can be prepared personally or by a contracted permitting agency.

5. Submit an application to Transport Canada as required by the Navigable Waters Protection Act.

6. As part of your private moorage application process, you may be required to have a biophysical survey of the sea floor conducted or an archeological review of the foreshore fronting your property.

Green Wave Marine has the experience and knowledge to take care of all of your permitting needs.
